About Us

Yamba Malawi, formerly goods for good, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Melissa Kushner in 2006 with the vision of creating a world where strong, self-reliant communities build brighter futures for children. Leveraging community relationships, Yamba Malawi has intimate knowledge of the challenges facing Malawi’s youth. Utilizing our experience with both direct support for children and economic development, Yamba Malawi created our Childhoods & Livelihoods Program to uplift Malawi’s most vulnerable children by building local businesses and by enabling investment in children’s care.
