About the Committee

Yamba Malawi is a small team with big plans. We envision a world where all children have the opportunity to achieve. In order to accomplish this, we need a community of supporters using their diverse skills, networks, and creative ideas to strengthen our ability to build brighter futures together. The Young Professional Committee is a perfect opportunity for an individual looking to make a dramatic difference in under-resourced communities in Malawi, gain experience as a part of an intimate, diverse, high-caliber team, learn about Yamba Malawi’s work transforming vulnerable communities, and play an influential and exciting role in the building and expansion of our impact in Malawi.

Our members are in a wide range of industries including finance, social media influencers, consulting, nonprofit & foundation, business, fashion, graduate school, and more. They have thrown happy hours, hosted panels, provided social media consultation, crowdfunded their birthdays, been monthly donors, and planned incredibly impactful events that have raised critical support for vulnerable children in Malawi.

membership recommendations:

Meet a give/get of $250 and at least one of the following:

  • Attend at least three Yamba Malawi events

  • Host or co-host an event

  • Consultation for Yamba Malawi staff (based on area of expertise, e.g. social media, editing, etc.)
